Celebrating a major achievement, Carleton College commissioned a display to showcase the Integrated Science Complex’s LEED Platinum certification—a remarkable feat for such an energy-intensive building. I designed all the graphics and helped shape the story, turning a simple transition space between building wings into an immersive exhibit. Color-coded panels and icons, inspired by the LEED scorecard, highlight the complex’s sustainability achievements, while a bold graphic of the final LEED scores anchors the start of the display. A feature wall showcases Carleton’s ambitious goal to expand the facility without increasing energy use and the innovative technologies that made it possible.
Additional fun facts are featured on digital screens throughout the building, keeping sustainability front and center. Wall graphics were printed on non-PVC wallpaper with low VOC content and 31% recycled materials, reinforcing the building’s environmental mission.
